Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy Z9 Monitor from Z9 Systems ("we"), online or by quotation. Using the software is governed by the Z9 Monitor licence agreement. By placing an order you accept these terms, the licence agreement and the refund policy.

1. Who we sell to

We sell to businesses and other organisations for their internal use. The person placing the order confirms that they may do so for the organisation named in the order.

2. Editions and prices

Z9 Monitor is sold per server running Z9 Monitor, sized by the number of servers it monitors:

Every monitored server counts once: each virtual machine, each hypervisor host (VMware ESXi, Proxmox VE, Hyper-V) and each physical server added by hand. Network devices, firewalls, storage and other devices are free. Servers beyond the licensed number are not monitored until the licence is upgraded.

The price that applies is the one shown when you order. Prices are in US dollars before local taxes; where tax (such as Malaysian SST) applies, it is shown on the checkout page and on the invoice. Larger installations, MSP use and perpetual licences are sold by quotation – [email protected].

3. Payment

Online orders are paid by card through Stripe, our payment provider. You enter your card details on Stripe's secure page; we never see or store your full card number. Orders by quotation can also be paid by bank transfer against our invoice. You receive a receipt by e-mail for every payment.

4. Automatic renewal

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year for the same period and is charged to the same payment method, until you cancel it. Before a yearly renewal we send you a reminder by e-mail. If we change our prices, we tell you by e-mail at least 30 days before the new price applies to your next renewal.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, either through the "Manage subscription" link in our e-mails (where you can also change the card and download invoices) or by writing to [email protected]. Cancelling stops future renewals; the licence keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for. Remaining days are not refunded.

6. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we try again for up to two weeks and let you know by e-mail. If the payment still fails, the subscription ends and the licence is not extended.

7. Delivery of the licence

After payment you receive an activation key on the confirmation page and by e-mail. Enter it on our activation page together with the request code shown in Z9 Monitor to receive the licence for that server. When you buy from inside Z9 Monitor, the licence is installed automatically. Renewals extend the licence automatically when Z9 Monitor can reach our licence service; the renewed licence file is also sent by e-mail. A licence is for one server; you can move it to another server with the transfer function in Z9 Monitor.

8. Changing the edition

To move to a larger or smaller edition, write to [email protected]. We change the subscription and the licence for you; the price difference is calculated for the rest of the current period.

9. Updates and support

While the subscription is active, you receive all updates of Z9 Monitor and support by e-mail at [email protected] on Malaysian business days.

10. Refunds

Refunds follow our refund policy: 14 days for a first purchase; renewals are not refunded; a full refund when the mistake is ours.

11. Warranty and liability

The warranty and the limits of our liability are set out in sections 6 and 7 of the licence agreement. In short: Z9 Monitor is a monitoring aid that does not replace your own backup and operating procedures, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before a claim.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Changes apply to new orders from the date shown above, and to existing subscriptions from their next renewal; we tell you about important changes by e-mail before they apply.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction. They do not limit any rights you have under the law.
